My peeping tom was spotted again tonight. Neighbors came over to let me know that when they came home, sometime after 10p, they spotted him on the corner with his bike, kinda spying into my kitchen (my light was on, meaning I was most likely in there). He left when he realized the were watching him. Or so they thought. They later spied him across the intersection, still looking over. I was watching TV Sunday afternoon and saw an informercial for the Taser C2, a personal taser. Is it REALLY a good idea for general public to be able to buy tasers OTC? What can protect you can also be used against you. How long before people are using these to rob and rape? And how long before cops are getting tased as they try take a suspect out of the car? Police know electroshock weapons can be used to force compliance. Rapists do too. Last December in Alpharetta, Georgia, an attacker used a stun gun to subdue a young woman before restraining, raping, and kidnapping her. How long before we read of a taser used the same way? (more…)
